depending on the size of your seatpost, it may FIT on a carbon post (though it doesn't fit on my carbon posts), but the issue is more that it is generally not recommended to attach seatpost-mounted racks (which put the entire weight of what you're carrying on the post) to carbon posts, at all. I am still afraid of my carbon , so I'm not inclined to test this advice, but...

FWIW, my carbon posts are 31.6. The rack fits 27.2 posts, and there are 27.2 carbon posts. But again, it's more about whether the weight is safe for the carbon than the size.
