I wouldn't waste your money on a GP if you can go to a podiatrist, sports medicine specialist, or orthopedist directly. I'd bet they'd want to do x-rays which can be expensive so be sure you can get some coverage.

I've been battling a blood blister recently and stumbled upon this book. All I can say is WOW. I wish more authors would delve into this much depth when it came body care for athletes.

when i had tendinitis there, i needed at least a month of PT where they did massage, ultrasound, and icing. my PT and I also discovered that a lot of the tension was actually coming from a pelvic imbalance (everything would get tight down the right side, culminating in foot pain). So we did some exercises and adjustments to help fix that. It did help the treatment of the peroneals work better.
