Too many cooks spoil the broth, so I will defer to Possegal to help you out.

But if she ends up not being able to do it, I will jump right in to help.

Great - I did not want to be discouraging. I just wanted to make sure that we will not have to spent more time on it than needed.

I have already created all the formulas and tested them. So, the 'lbs lost' is already computed by itself (it looks for the first unempty cell from the right and then computes the difference). This way the formula is able to track which one is the newest number regardless of what was submitted before and compute the difference without a human interaction (the formula took a moment to develop and type it up). Computing '% lost' was then easy.

So, the only work left is updating the left side of the table which I am so far managing. I have also added a line on the bottom of the table which indicates the last updated post. Thus we know from which post # the updates has not been made.

Having a gmail account is great anyway - so if you want to do it, let me know your email and I send you the rights.

The same, Possegal, let me know your gmail account name and I give you the rights.

Thank you so much for your help.

    Yay I'm in!

    11/7: 138.5
    Goal: 134.0

(My Thanksgiving and Xmas holidays are in there, hence the non-aggressive goal. Shoot, I should be happy if the scale doesn't go *up*!)

Shoot! I just now saw this--is it too late? The Century last month really threw me off my weight loss but now, it's started again, and I've lost 1 pound since Saturday!

Can I join in or is it too late?

    If I can join:

    Starting weight 11/12/2008: 207

    Goal weight: 200

I'd really LOVE to be under 200 by the end of the year and lose the "athena" status

    Can I join again?

I have been out riding my new bike when work allows! So, my starting weight is 150lbs and would like to be 145lbs (better goals this itme). THANKS for getting this started again to all of you!

    the great debate

Is it worse to be wasteful or worse to end up eating food that I know is terrible for me? I have leftover caramel apple pie, breakfast casserole, biscotti, and home-made macaroni and cheese in the house. Our company is gone, and my husband left for a business trip...so if it's in the house, I am the only one to eat it! Maybe it's the way I was raised, but I absolutely can't stand throwing away good food! I think I'm looking for consolation that it's better to throw this food out and be a little wasteful, than to end up eating it and inevitably gaining weight.

Never too late to join, I'll update the document with the new info if martina hasn't already.

And I understand the waste versus waist debate. It took me some time but I've finally gotten to where I can toss out food that I have for a party or something, rather than keeping it in my house. If I had good restraint, it would be fine. But I've been known to sit down and eat a whole platter of rice krispy treats at a sitting. So tossing out the cookies or pies or chips or whatever, is healthier for ME, and I'm the only one looking out for me. (but yeah, the Catholic guilt does get to me at times).

How about freezing it? I hate to throw away food as well.

Personally, I do not think there is anything wrong with a splurge now and then. You can divide it up into small portions and freeze it. Or, throw away half and freeze the other half (divide it up into small portions).

Maybe you can have a small portion of the mac & cheese, salad and protein for a healthy lunch or dinner.

I am glad to see we are setting realistic goals for the holiday season. I try to eat sensibly but I love Christmas mainly, nothing I like more than baking for days on end. So really how can I expect to lose loads? Plus I have a head cold right now and no working out at the moment so I am already off to a slow start.

3for3 I would through out most of it. I hate to waste but I have absolutely no willpower. I would devour it all and be miserable and guilty later.

I threw it all out! I kind of cringed but kind of felt empowered also.

    Okay - first weigh in.

I was 141.6 just two days ago, but I am now 143.2. So my official weigh-in weight is 143.2

I'm hoping to post a lower number next week.

147.5. I have been eating bad since being sick and unable to work out. A loss is good but I feel pudgy today, isn't it weird how that works? I really think right now I am just fluctuating on water but lower numbers are what I want so I will take it and not over think it.
