Smile We Found Our Kittens Alive!!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. BUT THE KITTENS HAVE BEEN FOUND ALIVE AND BACK AT OUR HOME!!!

Helpful hints from my detective neighbor with nearly 30 year experience, a police investigator who is a member of our rescue group helped to track down and find our kittens ALIVE and well.

Half of our members thought the kittens were dead and we were trying to find a witness who may have found their body. Five or six of the ladies just refused to believe that the kittens were dead. They canvassed every single area where the crazy woman said she had dumped their bodies.

One of them did a search on local web sites and craigslist and she found a person selling our kittens for $25.00 each.

Yesterday afternoon, two of the ladies went to the house, confirmed their micro-chip ID, gotten the details of how she came to the kittens... She was given the $500.00 reward.

The two kittens are quite a bit more aggressive now but I think we can work to get them back to being the sweet kittens they were before the ordeal.

Some great news for a change. And such rare event to recover lost animals.

As a footnote, not only is one of our member's husband is a lawyer, one of our member herself is a lawyer. We are going ahead with filing a civil suit and going after for criminal prosecution. We have to lean on our local PD but that is what they are doing. Between the lawyers in our group, a police investigator for the DAs office, I hope it happens so that the crazy woman will be stopped. She needs psychiatric help. And I really have to thank my neighbor for his insight into locating the kittens.

SOME GREAT NEWS FOR A CHANGE!!

Well, we are not showing our kittens this week. We need to let our emotional well being back together first.

We will be putting together a guidelines on how to avoid bad adoption.

    some of the thoughts:

kittens and puppies will have a one week waiting period.
first time owners will be limited to full grown animal. (too many returns after 6 month to a year on kittens and puppies)
If any member of the rescue group feels unsure then no adoption.
watch family dynamic mom-dad-child. if parents are not really into it then no adoption.
The adopting family must have already purchased the litterbox, cat litter, food. We will not hand over the kittens until they have all the necessary items for care of the cats.
we already have a home check in place.
followup within one week after adoption.

So to all you ladies who work with rescue group, if you would like a copy of our guideline, please let me know. I will forward them to you when we are finished with the document.

And thank you all for your heartpouring support for us.

YAY!!!! This is so wonderful to hear. As my avatar shows, I'm a bit of a cat person (love dogs too, just more difficult for me to have one). My little boy is dying of cancer and I am doing everything I can for him to keep him happy and comfortable. So I just couldn't fathom someone mistreating kitties, or any animals of course.

So glad you found them and they are safe and sound!
You too can help me fight cancer, and get a lovely cookbook for your very own! My team's cookbook is for sale Click here to order. Proceeds go to our team's fundraising for the Philly Livestrong Challenge!

This story raised goosebumps of both horror of the deed and valor of steadfast rescuers! What a wonderful outcome to something that could have been disastrous had you and your group not been so adamant and dedicated. I'm thrilled for you and the kittens!

that's great news!! glad no harm had come to them!

I know that at the SPCA they have a 72 hour "waiting" period after you apply to adopt. One, to screen out the applicants, and two, to make sure they don't change their minds.

Don't think of it as getting hot flashes. Think of it as your inner child playing with matches
