So happy for you! Knew you could do it! Nice to get those friendly remarks to, of course it is a motivator as well. If more persons would ride to work, there would be more bike paths made on streets. More city officials would recognize the need. With gas prices purhaps we could become more like Holland where they even have bike parking areas everywhere.

Too many people freeze up if they don't have a shower at work after the ride, but there are ways to get cleaned up, if you really want to do it, as you know. Either two wash clothes or baby wipes. Have your hairwashed the night before, put in curlers overnight if you have long hair. Shorthair, your set. Most work places have bathrooms last time I knew to change in stall.
The clothes packed up in pack is the only drag, plus the shoes, unless you have a particular pair that matches (office person type shoes) extra pair to keep at desk. If you work in a warehouse/factory, it is easier. Keep your hard shoes there at work.
