    Dont be too hard on yourself
    You had some significant injuries to recover from - that takes time and can have surprisingly long impacts, even when we think we are well over it all.

    It seems to me the last time you posted about serious winds (maybe about 2years ago now?) you must have been on the same route... you sounded so full of energy and lust for riding that that was when I decided we HAVE to ride together sometime...

    Dont lose that in your focus to be faster in the head winds.

    Hunkering down and geeting in your drops and in a low gear is what I would suggest too.

    And remember that the wind is a bugger for everyone else too... maybe they are just burning their legs to get past you and impress you and as soon as out of sight they are wishing they hadn't
