Oh. my. gosh. That's about the most horrendous thing I could imagine dealing with.

Not to sound crass, but there's a point where death is merciful. I've been there with family when you feel relief that it's finally over, but sad that your loved one has died. It's very awkward.
At least FC has the hospice folks to help him care for Susan, and to support him. Meanwhile those of us on TE can seen all the good juju we can his way.Beth

Oh, I can understand this feeling, very much. In a sense one's been saying goodbye and dealing with the loss for a long time before it actually happens.
