How cool about your picture in the paper! As for a less bulk hat, I use a Sugoi micro-fleece skull cap under my helmet and pull it down enough to cover my ears. You may want to check out helmet covers as well, they may do the job for you too.

Hi y'all
Well, my picture was in my local paper this morning, all bundled up and ready to hop back on my bike on a cold morning....

I think I must have been the most wintery dressed person the photographer saw out on the streets! Just wish he'd used a picture on the bike, not just fiddling with gloves. Oh, I know I need to get a less-bulky hat to wear with my helmet.
Stay warm, everyone!

yes I agree, look for a thin but effective helmet liner. When you helmet is perched on top of your head like that, it's not going to do you any good if you need it.
Didn't your nose get cold?![]()
Wow, just how cold was it??
Yep, that helmet is not going to protect your head at all like that.
