Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Oh, adding my good thoughts as well. My dad, who is 94, just went through some very successful hormone based treatment, and we all learned from his case that there are a lot of options available.

Waiting and the uncertainty--those are the tough things. ER docs lean to the safe side, and they are right. It's best to get it checked out and be happy with a false alarm than to neglect a possible cancer. I hope it's not cancer, and that you both go on your merry ways. However, as my pink ribbon suggests, there is life after cancer! In any case, my thoughts are with you. Best of luck.

Greetings from the DH of the LBTC!

I can't thank you all enough for the outpouring of support for us and our little problem. As I sit here I wonder what is in store for us and I ride the emotional rollercoaster looking for the answer.

I don't know if my Super Hottie gal has ever mentoned our old dog Yogi who suffered from ostheosarcoma? He was a wonderful pal, and as it turned out through his courage and will to live, became my hero and a large inspiration in our lives. He wasn't just a great dog, but also a beautiful soul. As I sat on the starting line at the 2005 Test of Metal bike race, the announcer asked for us to have a moment of silence for the lost loved ones in our lives. I immediately thought of Yogi and seeing his swinging tail in front of me running down the singletrack, and I smiled like an idiot! I'm pretty sure he ran with me for the rest of the race.

So as I sit here with my brain running the gamut, I have come to realise that beautiful souls are all around us (especially on this forum!) and wishing us well. You don't even know me, and yet you are sending me the positive energy I need. THANKYOU!

So, here is the deal...when I kick the crap out of this stupid disease or whatever it is, we're having a party and you are ALL coming!

    See you there!

    You're not alone

    Hang in there LBTJ
This is one of the hardest parts...waiting. It's clear from all these posts you are not alone and neither are you alone in those who have survived cancer. There are so many of us. We're all here holding you tight and keeping you in the light. Dance the dance.

PS: I'm a 19 year breast cancer survivor
