Thanks for all the congrats.
Tonight I'm starting to have some hip pain.Good think I have a PT appt. tomorrow. It's for something totally unrelated, but I think she'll take a look and give me some advice if I ask . . .
Anyone who wants to run in a fun 1/2 next year, I highly recommend this one.![]()
Wow! Congratulations on your great race and improvement over last year. That is so awesome. I hope I can follow in your footsteps and be improving that much year over year next fall.
That sounds like a fun race with the trolls and all. Glad you were feeling well gastro-wise, since it can be a challenge for you. Sorry to hear you've got hip pain now, hopefully it will be short-lived.
Thank you for your advice and info about the US Half back in the summer. I am getting excited for it this weekend. It will be my first half so I just want to finish but your time is inspiring!

Jennifer,
I hope you have lots of fun in SF this coming weekend. Hopefully the weather holds up for you. As of now, rain is predicted Friday through Sunday.I can't remember if I mentioned that there are some (not many at all) hilly sections. Take it easy on the downhill section after your first crossing of the Golden Gate. It is a steep-ish grade and unpaved. I started to get some hip pain at this point as I hadn't trained on any downhills leading up to the race. Also, when going across the bridge, make sure to take in the view -- it is spectacular. It's so easy to get tunnel vision, just looking ahead at the jersey in front of you, but you really don't want to miss the views during this race.
If you make it to the Expo, be sure to get your goodie bag and free samples!
Have fun, and I look forward to reading your race report!![]()
