Canada-status:banning cellphone use while driving

California has banned cell phone use w/o a handsfree device for several months now.

You wouldn't know it, with all the drivers still yapping merrily away on their handheld phones.

Same thing here. It's a "secondary offense" in that in order to ticket for it, you have to have committed some other traffic offense. Ditto in that one would never guess hand helds were banned.

Be honest now - how many have gone hands free, pull over always, or don't use a cellphone in the car at all?

Here's my honest report. Hands free, yes, pull over or make calls in parking lots, parked about %75 percent of the time.
