You look great!! I am pysched about my first century and can’t wait to get ’er done!! Sounds also like you made a great decision to do the ride a day early. Proud of you - hugs to you!

No, it's a Trek WSD 1.2 2008 model with Bontrager stock saddle. Just bought it on Sept. 18 and have put almost 600 miles on it so far

AWESOME!!!! Isn't the first a great feeling and with the health issues even more so. I remember my first century though it took me a bit closer to a year on my Navigator and it was self supported as well. The looks on people's face when you're (in my case 250 lbs) and you tell people that you just finished 100 miles on a comfort bike.
I'm sure now that you've got your first under your wheels, you've been bitten by the bug and you'll want to see how many more you can do. WAY TO GO and I can't wait until I get back to that kind of riding again.
Don't think of it as getting hot flashes. Think of it as your inner child playing with matches

Congrats on your first century (self supported no less- wow ), and congrats on getting yourself into such fantastic shape! You're an animal out there on your bike. Enjoy the glorious feeling!
