I usually take two meals with me to work, especially if I ride, because I feel lousy if I scarf something and then ride up the hill to work. So ideally I take a breakfasty yogurt, rolled oats and fruit, (lately local peaches which really is ideal- but in the winter banana or apple or whatever) and something lunchy which ideally is leftover dinner maybe curry and rice, or stew and bread, or pbj if things are sub-ideal.
Then when I get to work I usually eat the lunchy thing because I'm hungry and I can warm it up and I'm cold, and it takes longer to digest, and it feels substantial. Then later in the day, when there is a calm moment or two at the school, I break out the yogurt stuff and eat and goof off in my office for a few minutes.
If the day is extra chaotic and I'm coping reasonably well with it, I may not take a break until after the kids leave at 2:45. Then the yogurt moment can be especially calming.

I'm not really cook at night so I barely have left over food. My lunch break are pretty short, so I tend to eat something quick. I had one of those Deli Creations Sandwich from Oscar Mayer for lunch, they only take a minute or less to heat it up. Have you ever tried it?
