Probably mostly more comfortable. I've never ridden aluminum/carbon, but I know my full aluminum bike would make my teeth chatter on rough roads.

The way the steel and carbon fit together on the Buenos Aires is way different that the carbon seat/chainstay you see on aluminum frames. I've heard nothing but good things about this bike.
