Good PR from a race organizer

I just thought I would share that "Max Performance" is the company that organized the Buzzards Bay Sprint Tri, which was cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions.

The company is rescinding it's "No Refund" policy, and refunding 40% of the entry fee. They also convinced Xterra wetsuits to give a refund on rentals for that weekend. Plus, they mailed us our "goodie bags" and report that they will still honor the "random give aways" that were to occur after the race.

I don't know if any of this is the norm when a race is cancelled, but I'm impressed with their integrity. It will definately influence my decision to sign up for one of their races next year.

That's impressive! Fortunately none of the events I've registered for have been canceled, but what your race director did is very generous.

I also think with doing the tri on your own after it was canceled that you definitely earned your t-shirt. Wear it with pride!
