I don't think I weighed in on the down low glow thread linked to above, but here are responses to your questions anyway:

    1. Blue. It's super bright. I love it. I've used it to stay on the road in heavy rain, because it shows the edges (especially the white lines) really well. I picked a color you don't see on the road normally, hoping that that'll get the attention of drivers more, too.

    2. Single. Cheaper, and still (as I said before) super bright. For just commuting, the double seemed a little much.

    3. Trickle. I have an hour each way commute, and charge it overnight, which works fine.

    4. Like: Really, really bright and eye-catching. I've been told that's the first thing people notice when I'm coming at them, even before my bright normal blinky light. There's nothing like riding down a pitch dark road and lighting THE WHOLE THING UP, side-to-side. Plus I feel cool when I have it on.

    5. Dislike: I've had to send it back twice for problems. First it just randomly died; then the connector between the battery and the dlg itself got corroded. If you ride in rainy/wet conditions with lots of salt on the roads, corrosion inside the connectors is hard to avoid and impossible to fix. I will give the dlg people props, though, for excellent customer service. They fixed my dlg both times for free and did it promptly. Also it could have a more...er...elegant system for attaching to your bike; it's lots of cables & velcro.

I'd say go with the color you favor most; any one you pick will feel pretty dazzling. Plus you won't regret it if you go with green.
