    I did pretty good considering half my miles were pretty flat...
    out of the 357 miles (7 rides total), 16,201 feet of elevation gain, average 15.5 mph.

    Oakleaf, that's not an average month for me. I rode the Blue Ridge Parkway in 5 days - that's a good way to get some impressive elevation! That 5 days accounts for 49,660' of my total. (See my ride report in Adventure Stories.)

    UPDATE: Trek has not yet replaced my cracked fork, but my LBS hooked me up with a temporary replacement (God bless 'em!) so I can be riding again while we wait for the one that will match my bike. The loaner is BRIGHT RED and my bike is white. I'm stylin'!
