I know this thread gives Lisa the fits, but I remembered crazycanuck's call for pictures and thought of her today while I was out.

Winter is due to hit tonight, and it was much colder today than it has been. A friend and I took advantage of the snow-free conditions to do a trail run up high. Still some color going on up there, but it's going fast. Here are a few shots. It was cloudy, so the light was flat.

    Some rose hips

Some aspen (notice that the trees on the upper ridge have already lost all leaves and there are some on the left side that are still green)

This East Coast transplant to California thanks y'all profusely for your photos!! I soo miss the fall foliage. Around here you'll be driving down a street of red maples (planted by other transplants who miss the color) only to turn a corner and be confronted with a street of green palms. It's very confusing.

Let's get this old thread back in action

We've been on a long and lovely bike ride today. The fall is so beautiful and I love the amazing colors But now I need a MTB The ride could have been so much better with a mtb frame with a suspension fork instead of a hybrid frame with a fixed carbon fork and narrow tires It's a lovely excuse for a new bike!

Not from this year's riding in the fall but from two years ago, I love this photo and use it as wallpaper on my desktop during the autumn.

Great pics! Devoid, I'm glad you bumped this thread. I'll see if I can take one to add to it tomorrow.
