Yeah! Bike porn and car porn all in one pic! Gotta love it.
I need to get a camera...
I love seeing pics of everyone's bikes. The "Show Us Your Commuter" thread is one of my favorites here on TE.
edit: Mimi, what are those orange, green, and yellow thingies on your bike (on the headtube, seatstay, and seatpost)?

I know what those are! - they are reflective leg bands - one of the local cycling clubs gives them away at its events. They are a plastic band with a little piece of springy metal? or plastic inside you can straighten them out and then "snap" them around just about anything round - though i believe they were designed for ankles.

DH and I just finished admiring the pics of your fleet on your link - awesome bikes and awesome pics!!! He has several bikes and I only have the one - so I told him we obviously need to get me a second bike when we can afford it!!

DH asked me yesterday if I could have a second bike, what would I get? I honestly could not answer - I love my hybrid and I know the logical choice would be to get a road bike to go faster, but I like to ride in the upright position and at a slower pace so that I can scan for wildlife pic opportunities. Spirit suits me fine for now. DH misses riding his 10-speed racer and recently picked up a Raleigh racer to fix up. If he goes back into riding his racing bikes, I will have to reconsider the road bike. I remember when we were first riding together that I had a heck of a time keeping up with him on my mountain bike - argh - the good old days! But he is very happy with his new hybrid for now. It would be nice to have a back-up bike in case Spirit has to spend time in the LBS for tune-ups, etc. I have gotten used to riding every single day now.

Oh yeah! f8th had some of those.
Slap Straps?
Is that Cytomax?

Cool! I could use some of those - the more reflective the better. I like that they are removable.

Sorry...They are called Snap Bands.
F8th was the reason I got these. I really thought they were great...and this is DH's bike...he doesn't want me "ugly-ing" it up with reflective stickers, so this was a good compromise. I, too, like that they are removeable - and moveable.

Thanks for the link! DH and I have been riding home in the dark from the park lately and eventhough our panniers, bikes and clothing have reflective areas, the more reflective the better. They would be a nice thing to have in our gear to slap on just before dark.
