    Smile My Trusty Steed!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I was riding the park trail yesterday and when I stopped by one of the lakes for a water break I decided to take a pic of “Spirit” - my trusty steed. Do you have favorite pics of your rides that you would like to add to this thread? I would enjoy seeing them. On the way home I pedaled up to a yard sale - I joked with the folks there about having to stop shopping when my panniers were full!

I like the lake in your background, wildhawk. Your steed looks so regal sitting there among the beautiful scenery.

This is a sunset taken from the trails at the lake across the highway from me. Although it's probably more dangerous to ride there than the open road (lots of pedestrians and kids), it's far more convenient and accesible from my house. Plus, you get to see the lake for most of the miles, and it's just beautiful.
My bike isn't in the pic, because I took this while riding (trying to beat the sun home).

Sorry the pic is so big.

favorite bike pix from Austria: I can never tell if it worked... anyway, I have resized other images from my three day tour and will post them today on the touring thread if anyone is interested. This one was taken at the beginning of my trip in the museum district in Vienna.

Beautiful pictures everyone! Beautiful pic from Austria!
TriGirl: Love that sunset!! Nice shot!!
Zen: Love your bike and gear - Wow! Great pics! My DH will go nuts over the link for the bike trailer. For now we have a baby trailer - works great for groceries, etc. My bike is a Giant Innova hybrid. I hope to do some bike touring at some point with her. Right now we are training for next May’s MS150 in South Florida.

BTW, How do you get larger pics to upload? I have to keep reducing mine to fit the size requirements of the forum for jpgs and they seem very small.

I dunno. I just let Photobucket do the sizing for forums.

    Thanks Zen,
I have a photobucket account too - I have just been using an attachment on here, so I will try photobucket next time. And thanks for the link for the trailers too.

Yeah! Bike porn and car porn all in one pic! Gotta love it.

I need to get a camera...

I love seeing pics of everyone's bikes. The "Show Us Your Commuter" thread is one of my favorites here on TE.

edit: Mimi, what are those orange, green, and yellow thingies on your bike (on the headtube, seatstay, and seatpost)?

I know what those are! - they are reflective leg bands - one of the local cycling clubs gives them away at its events. They are a plastic band with a little piece of springy metal? or plastic inside you can straighten them out and then "snap" them around just about anything round - though i believe they were designed for ankles.
