Have you considered a change of employers? Your situation there just doesn't sound healthy. I have had every holiday off since I've been working at my employer (1985). I have never had to work Thanksgiving, or Christmas, or even very many weekends. Life is too short.

I'm sorry you had to cancel your event. Hope the Paypal buyer is fine, at least! I have never had a transaction paid for by Paypal not go through, by the way, and I sell quite a bit on ebay.
