    Too Much Of A Good Thing?

    Occasionally, I will be doing a ride and feel like I really need to spit. Yes, spit. This has happened on a long ride, but it happened again today when doing a short, intense uphill ride. I had thought before that it was because I had over hydrated, but I really hadn't had a lot of my Cytomax drink today. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows what might be the cause. Very unpleasant!

    If I drink gatorade I have to spit, it makes my mouth kinda gooey. That and I'm not in very good shape so I mouth breathe a fair amount, I think that makes it worse?

    I think maybe it's an exertion thing. On the rare, misguided occasions when I run, I always want to spit and it does feel a little stickier than normal (kinda like that post-orange juice spit). Like, do I forget to swallow when I'm working hard and it builds up or what? Or maybe it is to do with mouth breathing - my sinuses just aren't up to nose breathing during exercise.
    Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
