That is beautiful! How about etsy? I don't think I could bear to part with it (and I'm pretty sure on ebay you wouldn't get what it's worth...).
Another option would be local craft fair type things.

Great quilt! The quilted/stitched ducks are great! Do you have photos of your 1st two quilts? I second etsy, although I'd suggest you have more than one item for sale if you go through them. You can also get an idea of what sort of price to set based on what others are selling their quilts for.
Hello fellow quilter!
I always love to hear about new quilters. I sometimes feel that sewing and other types of hand-work are becoming dying arts...this gives me hope!![]()

rainy ducky! I love it.
It has more love and talent in it than you'll ever make in money.
I am a quilter and a cyclist. On my cross country trip last year, I tried to visit quilt shops and buy a little fabric to make a memory quilt. I visited an awesome shop right on the route of the Underground Railroad which I did this year!!! I bought some bicycle fabric which is awesome and made some sleep/lounge pants that I LOVE!! In winter, I love to quilt when I can't ride but if the choice is ride or quilt, I ride!! I can quilt at night!
I love the ducky quilt! Great colors.

oh gosh you guys... you make me feel so giddy!!... thank you for all your compliments...
also, what is etsy? I guess I can google it. I am assuming it's some kind of ebay but with crafts or quilts?

I'll have to go home and take a picture of my Katrina Memories quilt. I've been a quilter for years. Just lately haven't been doing that much.

WOW! That's nice!
So, let me ask, did you sew the various pieces and the duck onto a piece of material and dhten do the design with the thread over it? Or was the fabric already made with the colored squares and what not and then you sewed the design over it.
Did you do it by hand? I can't imagine someone doing that by hand.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside thoroughly used-up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!!"
i started like this...
i cut and sewed all the triangles first. the triangles are then sewn together to make blocks. the blocks are then sewn together to make two rows and two columns. when you're totally done with the triangle work... you will have 2 rows of triangles and two columns of triangles.
separately... you applique the duck onto a piece of white material. you sew the yellow and blue border around the white (duck) material. you then sew the triangle rows and columns to the blue border surrounding the white material. if you can picture a row of triangles above the duck, a column of triangles on the rights side of the duck, a row of triangles below the duck, and then a column of triangles on the left side of the duck... and there you have it. you have just adhered your duck to your triangle work
from there, you just start working on the larger outside borders and then ultimately the binding.
the actual "quilting" was done by a long arm machine. i paid to have that done... i'm not yet doing my own quilt stitching.
i hope that helps![]()

Chicago, that is such a beautiful quilt. Your craftsmanship is excellent and your colors are so cheery. Someone will be very lucky to have that quilt.
