It's one thing for Matthew McConaughey, who's an athlete, but quite another for Ms. Lopez. It's insulting to the rest of the contestants that worked for it, and that work really hard to justify spending the $$ to have a bike like that. She could have trained more, put some effort into it.

She DID train. I believe she meant that before she started training, she hadn't ridden a bike. She had a trainer, and there's no way she hopped on a bike for the first time for the race. She raised over $127,000 for the Children's Hospital, and the entire race raised over $900,000. She DID train, was sponsored by Specialized, and never got comfortable with cleats.
