Yay! You're back! I don't have any stories of coming back, since I haven't been "away" yet. Congrats on the go ahead to ride again. Keep riding!!!![]()

OH my gosh!!! Today was my first day of riding in TWO MONTHS!!! My boyfriend and I were going in a car accident (rear-ended twice from behind ... she didn't take her foot off the accelerator) and I have suffered from whiplash in the neck and lower back. It's been horrible. But I was cleared on Friday to ride this weekend (lightly) and didn't get to it until today (due to Hurricane Ike). I LOVE riding my bike!
I just wanted to share and hear other stories of the wonderful feeling of the return to their bikes!![]()

I'm glad you're back in the saddle! I'll bet it feels so good to get out there and ride. You'll be back to your old cycling self in no time.![]()

Glad you are back! I had to take a short time off in 2005 due to over using my knee running and having a bad case of runner's knee (whatever the technical name is). It was only like 2 weeks before I ignored the doctor (shhh) but my fitness plummeted because I wasn't running either. Take it easy and rejoice in being back.![]()

Congrats! I am looking foward to my first bike ride post collar bone injury! I was going to get out this weekend, but the weather was crappy, so maybe by Wednesday I will have a tale to share.
Yay! That has got to be a fantastic feeling! Congrats!
Trying to be the person my dogs think I am.
I totally get this. The only way I can explain the feeling is like taking a deep breath after being underwater way too long. My friends think I am nuts to even get near a bike again. Only bikers truely understand what it is like when you are forced to be off for a long time and again can ride. FREEDOM!!!! Congrats on getting on.![]()
