    Meet Onyx, my new Trek!

Hi everyone! You may remember that I am the one who had the Tourmalet sold out from underneath me even though I put a deposit down...

Well, I found a great condition Trek 2200 WSD on my local Craig's List that a young couple was selling. They just moved here from Minnesota a month ago and he just started med school.

Needless to say, I was happy to pay them the $800 for the bike instead of the $1250 to the LBS that screwed me as I knew this young couple could use the money.

I picked her up this morning and took her to another LBS who told me I got a great deal on the bike. She is getting a tune up, new handlebar tape, and bottle cages. I get to pick her up on Tuesday! A new seat will be added in the future.

    So, hhhhhheeeeerrrrrreeeee''''''sssssss ONYX!

I'm glad you won't be going to the LBS that sold the Tourmalet out from under you, that was crummy. And bike stores get new customers from satisfied old customers. A used bike like that is such a great deal! congratulations! I think maybe the evil LBS did you a favor, (and lost a good customer at the same time.)You could drop in to the evil LBS and show off your new bike after it's dolled up - and mention to the manager that you're really happy with the other bike store's customer service!Enjoy your sweet new ride!
