Congratulations Alex and Mr. Alex! Just think, if you ate doughnuts, it would have been faster

    Thanks for the congrats, everyone!

Yes, LG, donuts would have been an interesting addition to the Heed and Perpetuem and Clif Bloks, that's for sure!

Now that LOTOJA is over, I'm off the crazy no sugar, no wheat, no dairy diet I was on for the last couple of months. I have to say, cookies are GOOD! I definitely missed my cookies! I may stick with no dairy, though. I actually like rice milk better than nonfat cow milk.

As far as how I convinced DH? Well, I pitched it as a great training ride for his next full-distance tri. He does Iron-distance events and the next one coming up has a lot of climbing on the bike course. Also, I had a friend who said he would do it with me if DH didn't want to, and that probably helped a little, too. DH is ready to do it again next year, but he also said he would be my support crew if I decide I want to attempt the whole thing solo.

Excellent job! We have a guy here that did that ride. He said he averaged 20.1 mph! That is hauling for the entire ride!
