    Goodby IE7; Hello Firefox

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Internet Explorer 7 has been very unstable lately on my computer. My favorites list is a mile long and my RSS feeds list is even longer. A permanent IE crash would be disastrous if I lost them.

I tried all the IE troubleshooting tips posted on multiple sites with no luck in preventing the hangups, the incredibly long loading time, and the numerous crashes. The only thing left to try was to reload it.

Instead I loaded Firefox on the advice of many. It was good advice. If, like me, you spend a lot of time needing a fast browser, you might try Firefox.

It sucked in my favorites lists without a glitch and by adding an add-in, it imported and organized my RSS feeds list.

I am very happy and living in the land of the legions of Firefox add-ins to try.

If you are an IE lover and have no problems with it, GOOD. I was happy with it for quite a few years as well. But just to be safe, you might want to export your favorites lists and feeds list to a hard copy file.....just in case.

If you like Firefox, just wait 'til you try Opera.

    Bwahahahahahah.....

Faster than Firefox, and has a lovely built in email client and RSS reader.

Liza, you Opera temptress.....trying to lure me away from Firefox. I've only now just found all my "favorites, " and finally after 5 years have them all neatly ordered and you want me singing opera?

The honeymoon's over and I'm still impressed with the speed of Firefox. Not a single crash after a marathon of computing and tearing my hair out writing clunky code and testing it.

You know, the old saw about writing code to spruce up a blog rather than work on writing posts. And even if I did work on the posts, that would entail further learning-curve work in video-splicing and audio.

Then of course, I'm also shopping for a second and gasp, maybe even a third bike.

    Another day, another obsession.
