Does the cork handlebar tape have speckles in it? If so, I had that kind until a month ago and it stayed cleaner longer (or appeared to anyways). My LBS didn't have that option when I had them put new tape on. It's just plain pink and gets dirty much faster. (Remember that if you switch to white.)
