We went on a two day ride and he refused to put a water bottle holder on his bike until he could find a black carbon fiber one with red accents (he found one!) Seriously? The lbs owner was complaining that the new Trek models are coming in with silver stems and they only have black stems in stock. He said, "we would have had a real problem if I needed to change your stem, because I don't have one that would match." WOW. Seriously?
It's occurred to me that some men are probably better dressed while riding than at any other time, with all the color-coordinated kits and accessories.

Yeah, OK, the same could probably be said about me, too.

    I LOVE PINK!!!

I have a black and silver bike and went with the pink saddle, handlebar tape and bottle cages. I get comments all the time from people who like my pink. (And the one's who don't seem to keep their opinions to themselves! Except hubby, who just shakes his head and wishes he could use my bike as a back up, but wouldn't be caught dead riding that thing .... not sure how he'd ride it if he were dead, but ... whatever!)

I also always wear pink jerseys when I ride it. DH and I have a red tandem and he was smart to get us matching white helmets. So, my helmet goes with both bikes. I'm not even sure I'd want a pink helmet because, believe it or not, I really don't want to over do the pink!

I attached some photos. I've never done it before, so hopefully it works!

Oooh Jiffer that is very nice. What kind of saddle is that? I am so torn between white and pink! Maybe i'll have a white phase, and when I get bored of it, i'll have a pink phase...hmmm.

Jiffer- Isn't your husband a racer type? I don't think anyone will say anything to a guy with pink bar tape who drops them like they are standing still. In fact there are some local racers who use pink accessories just for the amusement of whopping people's butts on their pinked out bike. That is comfort in your masculinity for sure!

Jiffer's bike is an excellent example of pinking it out in a subtle way. Of course I am partial to the Pink Giro Atmos helmet with your new Madone.

My saddle is a Terry Damselfly, by the way. They make it in both black and white as well.

Thank you for your adoration of my bike. Speaking of people staring at bikes (from someone else's reply), I couldn't help but notice a girl in my bike club staring at my bike a couple of different times yesterday. She never commented on the pink, but I'm thinkin' she was jealous. Hahaha!!!

Anyways, yes my husband is a racer type, but I guess he is NOT secure enough in his masculinity to be seen on an amazingly awesome pinked out bike. Reminds me, though, of the "girl" decked out in pink that we saw flying down a hill on a snowboard doing tricks. I commented on how good she was and later realized, of course, it was no girl!

I left my new 5.1 as is for now except for the pink bottle cages.

I do love the pink tape and maybe a white saddle but figure I can always dress her up later. I thought I got a pretty good deal until you said what you paid. I even got $100 off b/c BF works at the shop about once a month. Oh well. I do love love love her!

We are completely drifting but neither is my speedy husband. He will carry a pink polar bottle if it is clean but I don't think he would ride your bike either.

My husband can't stand my pink and red "Ride Like A Girl" bottles! He tried to pawn one off to a guy friend who came by on his bike and didn't have a bottle with him. Didn't work, though. I actually don't even use them myself anymore. We use the Polars, too. I have one pink one, but need another!

I DO think, however, he would actually use one of my girlie bottles as a "throw away bottle" at a running race. I might even let him, since I really don't use them myself. He buys cheap bottles to run with that he can toss when he's done with them. He's never use one on his bike, though! Pretty sure he wouldn't use the pink polar, either, but maybe if he were REALLY desperate!

Hi, have you considered silver (aka white carbon) accessories at all? I think it would look awesome!
Congratulations on the new bike, by the way!!!

Thanks! Your pink/ white accessories are loverly!

Is it bad that I want to get water bottles that coordinate??? I have some non leaching plastic ones that are red and I think they clash. The clear ones that LBS gave me are clear but not made of the right stuff and the water tastes like plastic- ack.

I need to find me some new water bottles!

Nope, Looks very good to me!!! But I guess I should plead guilty to being a "bike fashion diva"... everything on my bikes has to match!

Arielmoon - I am loving the pink bottle holders...the guys yesterday pulled them out for me as well, all excited about finding something pink for my bike.

TxDoc - I will look into silver! Although it seems harder to find what I want than the other colors...I guess I am picky about the shade of silver. Too shiny = not my style

Keep the pictures coming! I love drooling over your guys' bikes!
