Very cool! I actually got my first bike BECAUSE dh wanted to upgrade his. We had been riding a road tandem. Dh got himself all psyched and set to upgrade his single and then remembered I had told him recently that I'd like to get my own road bike whenever we were ready to spend that kind of money. I'll never forget when he came out of his office and asks if I really want a bike and was I ready to get it .... like NOW. I was so thrilled and a little surprised until I realized that this was his way of him getting HIS new bike. He knew he had to get me one before he spent the bucks on a new one for himself! Sneaky ... but I got a bike!

So, he ended up with his brand new Cannondale System Six and I ended up with a new Cannondale CAAD 9 frame and all his Dura-Ace, etc. parts from his previous Cannondale CAAD 8.

Sweet. Anyways, yay for you and your new bike!!!
