    W00t - I qualified for World's in 2009!

Not that I could go but, it is pretty exciting to be able to say that I qualified! Clearly they are taking any old riff-raff. The top ten in each age group qualified.

No, it's the first weekend after school starts and the flights are really expensive, as you know. Erik and I would have to miss 2-3 days of school. That would cost us over $2000 alone. Plus travel, and accomodations.

What season is it in September (12th)? I'm used to heat, but not humidity. Anyway, I have to sop thinking about it. If I wanted to go, I'd have to commit by tomorrow.

Kg-September is "spring" heading quickly into summer.

If you need Gold Coast info, ask Light_sabr_e as I think she's done the Mooloolaba tri..

    Good luck KG!

Wow- too cool! Even if I couldn't go, it would be great to say you qualified. Even better when you explain that due to your strong committment to your job, you have to pass up the opportunity. Career before passion and all.

Wow! That's awesome! I'm inspired. And it is cool to be able to say that you qualified. Not many people can say that.

Woohoo! Congrats. I know what you mean though. Sometimes you just have to pass. But it would be cool.

In case I didn't make it perfectly clear, it was NOT hard to qualify in the sprint. There are only 13 women in my division and the older you get, the fewer there are.

I was 4th out of 11 in my age group in the race, but for this, they advance your age one year and that moves some people into different age groups for next year. My qualifying time was 7th out of 13.

I believe if you finished in the sprint tri, you have a chance to go to World's because they have a roll down so you can probably go even if you didn't come in the top ten. I would guess a lot of people don't go because it's too expensive.

Anyway, I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

    Very cool, congratulations!

Now I can say I inherited a great pair of goggles from WQTKG. Which are working out great, by the way. It's nice to have the option to wear or not wear my contacts underneath my goggles.

That's just super! One day, some other year, you'll qualify again and go...
