Rode the semi-local TT tonight with a PR. Just 10 miles, but averaged 22.2 mph, so was happy especially after a brisk group ride yesterday.

    Women's day out.

Yesterday I got an invite from a female riding buddy, which she'd sent to me and one of our male friends. He declined, I accepted, and when I showed up this morning there was a third woman there, someone pretty strong whom I'd hardly ridden with this summer.

I was a little intimidated, but it turns out those two had been thrashed on the club hammer-fest yesterday, and since my legs were fresh, I was safe Actually, by the end of the ride, I was pulling them up the hills, which made me feel pretty good (even though I knew we weren't starting from even).

We all stuck together and had a really good day. The weather couldn't have been better, the woodlands and farms are at high summer despite the mild temperatures, even the pollen and the fresh chipseal weren't too awful.

I rode a quick 5 miles before I had to go to work cleaning out my moms house.
We're getting a lot of showings and there's still stuff in there and it's filthy!

Passed a TV on the roadside that someone had set out for trash.
I could see my reflection in it as I rode past. Hey! Look Vern! I'm on the tee-vee!

On the way back I got my speed to a comfortable 16mph then got to a long grade where I watched it eventually drop to 9 mph

I wished I could have kept riding but I do want to sell that house.

rode only 22miles with 1200 feet of climb. didn't sleep all that well last night. Just so stressed out from my job. So the ride was nice to relieve my stress and clear my body of all that negative energy.

pleasant weather with light breeze. I enjoyed my tranquail ride today.

I increased my personal long distance record today! I put in 65 miles! I planned out a loop almost 22 miles long right around my house, so I could take a break at the house after every loop. I'm diabetic and have been having problems with my levels on my rides, so I wanted to stay close for this one.

The wind kicked up to about a steady 15mph with gusts to 22 or so the last loop, which sucked. But I only had it in my face for about 1/3 of the way each loop.

Took me a total of 5 hours and 11 minutes--just over 12 mph average. Not bad, I think, given I'm still riding my 5 year old Raleigh Hybrid and just started riding in April.
