As for the calories......shrug......caloriesshmaalories.....

Actually I've never eaten better than since riding the bike. I crave more fruits and vegetables, large volumes of water, and pass on "heavy" food. I was an Olympic carnivore but now the thought of red meat no longer appeals to me.

I suppose as the season changes that will change somewhat but now the habit has been acquired of eating more often and significantly less at a time. Hence the major weight loss I've experienced.

All of this is another reason why biking is so advantageous to those of us who think our metabolism has slowed down. It really does kickstart the system. And....even with only moderate exertion on a bike, when done for a long enough time the innards rev up like they haven't for years.

You know the TV commercial for Comcast with the turtle on the treadmill moving in slow motion at 1 millimeter per hour..... Yeah.....I feel like that......"Feel the burn."
