She is absolutely adorable, and I hope she's getting that message loud and clear from the international community if not her own country.

But what I want to know is, with 1.3 billion people in the country, couldn't they have come up with someone who was both talented enough AND attractive enough for their standards?

Shame on them for sending that message to their little girls. Then they turn around and use the ones that serve a purpose: I heard on NPR this morning there's a good chance three of their gymnasts are underage.

2. of movies: relating to movies or moviemaking

Not sure I would take that to mean the footage was real but was just movie-like, as in staged.
