Excellent! When I commuted, I was happiest while on my bike. I believe that commuting by bike kept me happier and more relaxed.

great idea!
right now Raleighdon and I coordinate chores for who is riding when and where.
I read a study that showed that people who commuted to work by bike were happier at work than people who commuted the very same distance to work in their cars.

I'm absolutely more relaxed when I take the train in versus driving, even though I have to get up 30 minutes earlier to do so. People at work keep saying "That's nice for now. And then you'll drive again in the winter, right?" Um, no, it doesn't work that way. I like having the time to ease into the morning, and then to decompress in the afternoon. It's carried over into my life outside of work, too. I now look for ways to avoid driving, arrange for someone to pick me up, whatever I can do.
I've only been commuting by bike for a couple of months, but there are a few unexpected surprises that I have encountered: 1.Little kids wave to me, or say "hi". 2.Other cyclists (motorized too) are friendly. 3. No cell phone!! and #4.. No one expects "multi-tasking" to occur when I am on my bike!!
