Elk- I love your Papillions!! I think they are the cutest little things but my husband says they "freak him out". He is also freaked out by poodles, hates the curly hair to the point he said I couldn't have a poodle.

amanda...papillons, i have decided, are not really dogs....they are either:

    a. a cross between a border collie and a cat
    b. aliens in silky dog suits

I have a curly dog hair problem too....i love poodles, but their coats dont turn me on...

Oh elk - I love the greys! I so want one....

I have a few new 'pets' to add to this thread.

Here are Sassafras and Buddy (Buddy is the small one):

And some of the chicks at 3 weeks (they are bigger now):

    Awwww....

I took my dogs for a walk yesterday and on the way we discovered a pair of goats living in our neighborhood! Never knew they were there.

They are the same size as my dogs, so of course, my dogs didn't quite know what to think. The dogs couldn't figure out why those funny looking dogs weren't barking, so they didn't bark, either. Then, the goats couldn't figure out why the dogs wouldn't come right up so they could sniff. Eventually my one dog got brave and very calmly poked his nose up to a goat's nose and they sniffed each other just like dogs do. Then the other goat stuck his head through the fence and all four of them happily sniffed all around.

Then the peace was shattered when the goat's dog finally saw us, and barked us away. My dogs FREAKED out then!

I'll still take them to sniff the goats if we can sneak up again.

Really? I may be serious. Let me run it by H.

What type of goats does your friend breed? Do you know if they offer stud service? We need to find Sassy a 'date' and we aren't quite sure how to go about it (and we don't want to get a buck of our own).

Ha! They aren't so cute anymore...they are funny looking with half adult feathers and half baby fuzz. I try not to think of them as 'pets' but I can't help it. I've already gotten attached to them!
