    I really dig those trash can panniers! Those would be perfect for leaving the bike outside the grocery store or pharmacy....who's gonna steal a couple of trashcans with holes drilled in them?

    I was going to make my own but found a pair of used ones for $12. I have a few parts in a corner ready to transform an old bag into a cool pannier, though. Seeing this thread motivates me to get going on that project again...

    Maybe I'll list the empty kitty litter buckets with a couple bungee cords on ebay as a "Pannier Kit."

    Malkin, they'd probably be MUCH better than some of the commercial panneirs in the stores!
