The fact that you improved even though you feel like you're on a weight loss plateau means you're NOT on a fitness plateau - which is more important anyway.

Congratulations, and here's to more improvement to come!!

I'm so impressed at how your numbers have improved since your first race!

I've been wondering if there's a way to help people focus on what they can DO, as a way of overcoming issues w/ body image. Everyone has things they don't like about their body, but if you have the discipline to train for triathlons and consistently improve? It sounds like you're rightfully gaining a lot of confidence from that. BRAVO!

Interesting article making the rounds this afternoon: about weight, fitness & disease risk factors -- this study argues that it's not all about weight: http://www.reuters.com/article/lates.../idUSN11372238

I've always wondered about this stuff, since I know at least two men who are Type 2 Diabetics and are definitely not overweight.

Wow! Look at the difference in the bike time alone! In triathlon we really only compete against ourselves, and it looks like you're kicking your own tail at this race. Nicely done!

Great Job! I can't believe how much time you've taken off in two years! And you are quite a bit lighter! Way to go. Keep up the good work, and take some time to congratulate yourself on all of your hard work!
