That's a big question which requires a lot of questions in order to respond:

- What sort of bike is this (road, hybrid, mtn bike)?
- Is this a Shimano drivetrain?
- What size rings are in front?
- What is the gearing of the cassette?

There may be other questions that need to be asked in order to give you suggestions. Those are the basics.
