I just did an 8 mile run. Finally. I've been putting it off. I walked/jogged the last mile or so.

I did a 5 mile run on Thursday, intervals on Friday, and an 8 mile run on Sunday morning.

My upper quad is really tight and I am having trouble walking normally so I am going to see a doctor on Wednesday to get that checked out.

Running seems to bring out all my old soccer, softball, and horseback riding injuries

    Feeling Good!

Well I am still slow (guess I always will feel that way). Did my 9 mile run on Sat. I felt good. Last 1 - 1.5 miles was a bit tough and would of loved to walked...but didn't.

I am so lucky here in Florida (excpet for running in the heat)...saw a couple of Manatee's during my run along the water. Overall a 11:30 min mile pace....hey I am under 12!

Today (Tuesday) was tempo on treadmill (yes, the torture device). But I felt better w/ this run than my tempo run a few weeks ago. Still embarassing to say what I put the treadmill on that is "fast for me"...but I see progress. And I did it! It is an accomplishment.

The long runs are easy...cuz I just go slow. It is the speed work and tempo that kill me (or the brick). But if i want to get faster this is waht I have to do!

I have a duathon on Saturday. I plan to just have fun!

I go slow too! But I find that my mind starts telling me that i'm tired and that I need to walk...or that I am going too slow, might as well walk...long runs = more time for my mind to mess around with me!

I walked yesterday -- 6.5 miles. (With screaming children along -- seemed like 12 miles )

Today ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill before going to Boot Camp tonight! Kept it at 6.1 to 6.3 miles/hour.

By the time we were doing one legged hopping for 1 minute at the end of class, I was sorry I had ran just before going!

I did 6 miles yesterday. I was starting to have some pain in the arch of my foot, so I walked a little.

Tuesday I did 35 minutes of hill repeats.

    Sunday I ran 8 miles.

My legs are feeling the additional mileage. I also towed DD in the burly for a 20 mile bike ride this week.

According to my training schedule (I'm simultaneously training for a mntn bike race and 1/2 mary) I'm supposed to mntn bike 16 miles . . . but I'm also supposed to run 10. Not sure how I'll do both of those.

I also have the problem of deciding what to do training wise. I am riding a metric century on Saturday, and my mind is telling me HTFU and run 10 miles on Sunday as part of my half-marathon training. But since that will be my furthest distance thus far, I have a feeling my body will be quite tired on Sunday...
