    So I bought a bike!

I bought the Madone today and I am stoked!

I put hot pink bottle cages on it to match the trim. Everything is 'as is' for the moment. I actually like the saddle so far. It is so much better than the torture device I was riding on that I am liking it. I will switch it out later if I am uncomfortable. I bought a computer and a tire pump too. I got a nice deal... it was already reduced and they gave me $100 more off cause my BF works there once in a while... hehe.

    here she is:

Came home and rode 26 miles and it felt really good.

    YAY!!!

Thank you eveyone here that helped me make the decision!

Is Bontrager the stock saddle for that?
If so, I'll be interested in hearing how that works out

    Very sleek and sassy!
If it felt good after 26 miles right off the bat, that's a good sign!

Wow!!! It was just a couple weeks ago that you were saying you couldn't justify buying a bike. So happy for you! Enjoy, fellow vegan!

I have not named her yet... I need to get to know her a little first.

Yes, it is the bontrager saddle that comes with it. It is quite soft and I wasnt sure that would work for me since I prefer a firmer horseback riding saddle. My sit bones are very well supported with no interference to my thighs.

BF and I rode 20 miles yesterday and I had no pain between my shoulder blades and nothing from my knees. I had a total squee when I hit 37.5 mph on a downhill that I previously maxed at 33mph.

My legs were sore after the sat ride as if I had used different muscles than before but I dont see that as a bad thing.

    Update!!!

I put pink handle bar tape on last week.
And here she is! Oh and her name is Dara (as in Torres).

The difference in the tape and my bottle cages does not look as dramatic in RL as this pic makes it look.

When it's time to replace my tires I am going to get the pink folding ones.

I rode 43 miles this morning and other than some lower back soreness, I feel great!
