Thumbs up Drumroll please (aka I got a bike)!

I am happy to announce that I have adopted a 2007 Trek 1600 WSD, thanks to Craigslist. I got into it for less than a grand too, and it looks like it could have come off of the showroom floor. The gal who had it decided after three rides she was not destined to be a roadbiker(one of those things where you try out something because your husband does it), so her loss is my gain. It specs out slightly differently than what it says on Trek's web, site having an Ultegra front derailer instead of a 105, and a Bontrager race triple crank instead of a 105. Aside from that it is stock and pristine.

I wanted to thank everyone again for their help in choosing a steed, and I am sure I will have more questions as I go along about many facets of riding.

I think you all know what I mean when I say I am beyond excited!

I think that is the same bike my niece has and she LOVES it! She got a great deal on hers because of the size, she's 4'11" and the bike was so small that the store couldn't sell it. She keeps joking - you'd all tell me if it was really a little kid's bike, right? It rides like a dream for her and she's been thrilled with it. Congrats and many happy miles!

Talking I have the same bike!

Mine also came with ultegra front derail. and bontrager race crank like you mentioned. I am thinking Trek's website might be incorrect. Nonetheless, it is a fantastically fun bike - I've had mine about two years and still love it!
