Sounds like a race to be proud of! Especially powering through the painful parts.

Hope the soreness wears off quickly.

I would like to go on record as saying that Teigyr's company was excellent and that she has very good taste in food and music!!

Also.... a half a bottle of cab sauv will cure whatever ails you. My legs still hurt like h3!! but I don't really care at this point. So recovery tip, have a bottle of cab sauv available for the next day.

I'm all set in that department! DH always has any flavor of red wine handy . . .

Niiiiiiccceee race Wahine!!!! Congrats on a great time. Although it's not a PR- who cares? You kicked butt on a really tough course!!!! Kudos to you!

I can only DREAM of a 5:30 half some day (and even in my dreams I'm not that fast). Heck, I'd love to break the 7 hour mark.

Nice work, Wahine! Way to kick up that run!!

It's fun that we can somewhat relate to the experience, even if we all feel so much slower.

I really wish this race was BEFORE my Ironman, now it sounds like a perfect setup. At least now I know a little more about the course... way to be the guinea pig

Colby - it's actually pretty well run, nice venue and good course. The pre race meeting goes over everything in detail (to the point of me wanted to leave because I was bored) but the logistics are not as bad as you might think. If fact, if you have a driver, it's really easy. I would do this race again.
