quintana roo kilo bike - the right size for me

I'm a mom of three. Very much new to the Triathlon sport (and absolutely loving it!). But have so many questions yet... I don't have time to visit bike stores and asks many questions (I'm usually with my 3 kids), but in dire need of a nice and good bike to continue my new found love of Triathlon sport.

Okay, so I went online to search for the right size fit. I found a used 2001 QR Kilo bike that says it is a "small" size. I looked online at QR website. The composite details are so confusing and I still don't know what's the right size for me.

I'm 5'4'' and weighs 140 lbs - shorter torso and longer legs.

Do I fit into a small QR bike (Kilo)?? Any suggestions about other tri-bikes that fits my proportion, height, and weight???

    Appreciate anyone's help/answer/opinion.

I'm about the same height, and am on another Small sized QR bike (Lucero). I seem to have a shorter torso/reach (the bike shop shortened my aero bars by a couple cm). For me, the seat post isn't at the lowest, but it's pretty low, so there'd be room to grow for longer legs.

I tried to find a profile picture of Lucy and I that would show the geometry of how I fit on the bike, but everything I have is taken pretty head on. I guess I need to get my photographer/sherpa on the case I definitely could have longer legs, and everything in the cockpit seems well within reach.

No substitute for trying it on, or taking a test ride before you buy if you can, but it seems like it'd be okay. It was weird buying a bike that came in t-shirt sizes, but the numbers don't really help me anyway without having to think about everything.

I'll have to let the other ladies make suggestions for other bikes, and add their own two cents!

    thanks Colby!

I ended up purchasing the bike. So happens that it's XS not S as I thought it would be. Feels right on the torso. My husband adjusted the leg height which helps me focus on pushing the pedal with my heels. - prepping me for the "real" bike shoes.. you know, the clippy' kind.

Still adjusting, still learning! I'm not used to "skinny" bike just yet... I feel like I'm "flying", it's so light weight.
