    I am a union person. It's my first union job ever and while I understand the appeal and the historical importance, I think I have to side with business most of the time.

    Yeah, I know it's an unpopular stance and I will shut up now

    Your union is the local, and the local is the members .... is there any way you can get involved at the local level? I know, I know, cuts back on the ride time but sometimes not only helps understand what's going on but can even make them more reasonable.

    Well run unions/locals understand that without the company there is no job and well run companies know that with a union it saves them time and $$$, not having to negotiate pay and bennies with every single one of you.

    So the two should work together .... except for when it comes to who buys the donuts.

    But it's just a joke.
