Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 38 mph, going downhill, a couple of months ago during a supported ride

Most memorable moment on my bike: Watching my husband wreck. His head (with helmet!!) bounced off the road. It made me sick to see. He was alright though and even finished the ride. After that, he bought a newer, more expensive helmet, and continues to ride!!
