I rode in Tour de Whidbey last year. Just did the 50 mile route (from Greenbank out to West Beach and back) and was glad at that. Whidbey is very hilly and the ride takes you off the main hwy and down into the beach communities - which means hills. But, it is a beautiful ride and I look forward to doing it again. The century will give you a good taste of the island - no doubt! I won't be riding it this year because DH and I are doing the Yakima Wine Ride with some friends, but will probably ride the full century in 2009.
