Then there are the drugstore kits where you just clean your toilet bowl thoroughly and put the reagent in the water after a BM. Don't know if those are accurate enough for professional use though.

Well now I'm really PO'ed. I jsut got my appt time and it's next Wed. I'll be away camping all week. I called to change it and they won't. If I cancel, I cancel. They aren't taking elective procedure appointments ether because the wait list for that is a year.

So that means I'll have to drive home alone Tuesday afternoon (2hrs), do all the prep, have the procedure the next morning, and then drive back. Hope I feel ok to be driving 2 hrs alone. That sucks.

Sorry it took so long.....I just talked to my friend and she asked a few questions that I was able to answer from your posts and bottom line is -- Doctor visit. She had seen it before and bloody poo can be anthing from an agressive fiber scratching the colon to the whole hemroid thing to more serious. She also asked if you had blood in your urine which can be linked to dehydration.
I'm glad you are going to try to keep your apointment even though it sounds like drama getting there.
