If only I had seen this thread yesterday, or this morning! I rode in pouring rain and ended up with a nice dirt line, much like yours, plus a splattering of larger mud blobs. Fortunately I wear black shorts all the time, and no white shirts!

Perhaps tonight I'll take a picture. It's supposed to pour rain here all day.

PS - The ultimate in road-dirt collecting: Sun block + a 97-degree humid day. Dirt, bugs, pollen, small dogs...everything sticks. It's really disgusting.

I just love the big black gnats that swarm and then stick to the sweat on my arms, legs and neck! I was like, oh black dirt... wait a minute! dead bugs! Ack!

I usually wimp out and stay home on hot, humid days. My husband is the one who tends to come home covered in dead bugs. It's a miracle I still love him after seeing him like that. Ewwwwwww....

Oh cool! I get a mystery bruise is the same spot occasionally, and yeah, normally when on my road bike rather than my mountain bike. Wonder what the heck that's from?

hehe we were both covered in gnats after yesterday's ride although they did seem to like him a little more than me! Bugs or not, I am turned on by my hot and sweaty BF. When we first met he was all Mr. I-need-a shower-before-hanky-panky but I have convinced him that Mr. just-worked-out is yummy to me!

Sorry didnt mean to highjack the thread

    Arielmoon,

    I hear you.

Hey, what's all the fuss about a little sweat and dirt and dead gnats anyway?
    That's what showers are for!

Hijack away, that's how things get amusing. Actually this filth is not from the "road" so to speak. I was on the MUTs pretty much the whole time. It just happened that it rained just enough to wet down the icky crud on the paths. We need some serious rain here, bad!
